Happy Birthday, Bill!

I gazed – and gazed – but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought.

This has always been a special day for me.
Long before I ever dreamed of going to England.
Long before I ever saw the Lake District.
I met Professor Paul F Betz at Georgetown University.

He was a scholar of William Wordsworth.
Whose birthday is today.

PROGRAMMING NOTE
I was originally planning to go across the pond today.
To celebrate Wordsworth’s birthday.

But I have decided to postpone my trip.
Because my friends are still submitting to Boris Bondage.

Let’s face it: Those Brits are total kinks!

I guess when you have a monarch.
Obedience is bred in the bone.

Americans are not really big on obedience.
That’s why there’s an America.

And Bostonians? Fageddaboutit!

Improper ones especially.

Every year that I was in England, I celebrated April 7.

Spring comes later in New England.
But it is coming.

The magnolias are magnificent.

I will do a whole blog soon just to showcase these lovelies.

But I did manage to find a few daffs. Just for Bill.

Happy Birthday, Bill!
And many more of them.
